Find the Right AC for Your Home

We install a range of cooling systems to fit every home layout, budget, and comfort preference.

Central Air Conditioning

Most popular choice

The gold standard for whole-home cooling. A central AC system connects to your existing ductwork to deliver consistent, even temperatures in every room.

  • Whole-home even cooling
  • Works with existing ductwork
  • Quiet indoor operation
  • SEER ratings up to 26

Ductless Mini-Split

No ductwork required

Perfect for homes without ducts, additions, or rooms that need independent temperature control. Each indoor unit cools a specific zone for targeted comfort.

  • No ductwork needed
  • Zone-by-zone control
  • Ultra-quiet operation
  • Ideal for additions & cottages

Heat Pump (Cooling Mode)

Heating + cooling in one

Heat pumps provide both heating and cooling from a single unit. In summer, they work just like a traditional AC — but in winter, they reverse to heat your home efficiently.

  • Year-round climate control
  • Lowest operating costs
  • Rebate eligible
  • Eco-friendly option

Hybrid / Dual Fuel

Best of both worlds

Pairs a heat pump with a gas furnace for backup. Cools efficiently in summer and automatically switches to the most cost-effective heating source in winter.

  • Automatic fuel switching
  • Cold-climate reliable
  • Maximum energy savings
  • Future-proof investment

Signs Your AC Needs Replacing

Not sure if it's time for a new air conditioner? Here are the telltale signs your cooling system is on its way out.

Unit Is 10–15 Years Old

AC units typically last 10–15 years. Efficiency drops significantly in later years.

Rising Cooling Costs

Higher summer bills often mean your AC is working harder for less cooling output.

Frequent Breakdowns

If you're calling for repairs every summer, replacement is more cost-effective.

Loud or Unusual Noises

Grinding, squealing, or rattling sounds indicate serious internal wear.

Uses R-22 Refrigerant

R-22 (Freon) is phased out. Replacing the unit is cheaper than sourcing old refrigerant.

Air Conditioning Questions Answered

Common questions about AC installation, replacement, and upgrades.

What size air conditioner do I need for my home?

AC sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, number of windows, and sun exposure. We perform detailed load calculations to ensure your unit is perfectly sized — an oversized AC short-cycles and wastes energy, while an undersized one won't keep up on hot days.

What does SEER mean and why does it matter?

SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio — it measures cooling efficiency. The higher the SEER, the less electricity your AC uses. Modern units range from 14 to 26 SEER. We typically recommend 16+ SEER for the best balance of efficiency and cost savings in Ontario.

Can I add central air if I don't have ductwork?

Yes! If your home doesn't have ductwork, a ductless mini-split system is an excellent option. These systems use individual indoor units connected to an outdoor compressor and don't require any ducts. They're efficient, quiet, and offer zone-by-zone temperature control.

How long does an AC installation take?

A standard AC replacement is typically completed within a single day (4–8 hours). New installations that require ductwork may take 1–2 days. Mini-split installations usually take one day. We'll provide an accurate timeline before work begins.

When is the best time to replace my AC?

Spring is the ideal time to replace your AC — before the summer rush. You'll have more scheduling flexibility, avoid emergency premium pricing, and be ready when the heat arrives. That said, we offer fast turnaround year-round, including emergency replacements in peak summer.
